Some first-hand Bob/Ray quotes for your enjoyment.
At the MCR show two days ago, some interesting events took place. I wrote a five page review; I won't bore you all with the incessant ramblings, but I'll paste an excerpt from the meet-and-greet.
...I moved over to Ray. He stuck his hand out towards me, but wasn’t looking at me because he was talking to someone. “You could look at me Ray, gosh!” I said.
“Oh, sorry!” Ray looked kind of embarrassed. But I laughed and told him everything was cool. While he was signing my flier, I looked over at Bob. Bob was looking at me, so I pointed to him. “You!” I said. Bob looked a little alarmed.
“Do you remember, two years ago, something called BlueAfro?” I asked him.
“What?” Bob said.
“We made you some really cool flowers with duct tape and wire. They were for you too, Ray,” I said.
“I never got that! What was in it?” Ray asked.
“There was a binder with letters, pictures, drawings, and all kinds of stuff in it,” I replied. Bob was nodding and smiling.
“I steal everything,” he said.
So there you have it. There was a lot more said. I'll try to post that later. Also, we met Bob's mom and uncle. She was very sweet and we had a nice conversation with her. There were also a few injuries, lost shoes, and some post-show bruises. But all in all, everything went well. MCR news and an update...
Mikey Way has decided to take a break from My Chemical Romance and will probably not be touring for the remainder of this tour. As unfortunate as that may be for us fans, he needs a honeymoon and probably needs to figure some things out about his new life as a married man. So congrats again to Mikey, and we hope he gets a good rest.
In regards to the site, we have a new affiliate! The site is awesome, has a lot of good stuff on it, and I personally love it. Check it out!

Subject: The good, the bad, and the ugly.
For those of you who haven't heard, there was a brutal massacre this morning at Virginia Tech. 33 fatalities have been confirmed, as well as 26 injuries. This story is fairly new, they have barely any leads so far. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry if anyone lost any family in the incident, and this will surely affect us all. Thank God, or whoever, for the little things in life.
On a happier note, I found that MCR has a lot of support at my school. I'd like to share that with you guys.

Subject: Problem solved.
I fixed the BA e-mail account, so I deleted the previous news post. Again, please e-mail us with whatever you have. This site relies on fan feedback. Without you guys submitting stuff, we won't have much.
We've added some content to the pages, and if you head over to the project section of the pictures, you'll see a picture of Bob receiving the BlueAfro project. We've also been working on contacting some affiliate hopefuls, so we'll keep you posted on that.
Hope everyone's having a wonderful Spring Break! It's cold here in Waldorf, which sucks. But hey, at least we don't have to go to school.
Also, happy belated birthday to Mr. Gerard Way! He turned 30 yesterday. Can you believe it?

Subject: We're Back!
Okay, guys. We've been gone for a while...Okay, it's been a year. But with good reason! I personally have been traveling back and forth across the country dealing with family problems, causing me to lose touch with Starr and Joycie. But I have settled, recently got back in touch with both of them, and we intend on getting back into the swing of things. My Chemical Romance is ON TOUR, but I'm sure you already know that. I never made a post on here myself, I alw*ys had to have Starr do it for me because I didn't know HTML. I still don't, but thanks to Bonnie, I've learned how to make posts! Yay. Hey dudes. Yeah that popup right there ^^ is ... really bugging me. Sorry about that. I need to talk to Joycie and figure out how to get rid of it (er, again....)
So I know that we haven't updated in FOREVER but I'd really like to start up again, so I'm going to attempt to commit 1/2 hour (yes, that's 30 minutes of Ray/Bob goodness) to this site per day. Hopefully we'll see some real improvement in the next couple of weeks.

Subject: MIKEY WAY! Turn it off!
-glances at subject- Hmm. No, that doesn't have anything to do with this post. -shrug- I stayed up until like two last night/this morning watching Diary and I like Bob quotes. And I said that to three different people today. People are like, "Wtf? My name's not Mikey." -rolls eyes- I think the MCRmy should live in a little MCRmy town, that so when I say quotes or inside jokes, people stop asking me if I'm feeling okay. Although I guess it's bound to happen if I keep telling them that the fro is going to come and eat them in the night if they're not nicer to me.
Urgh. Okay so I'm back from the chiropractor's office. That dude takes up so much of my online time. And he tries to "speak my language," which means talk about music, because he asked what I wanted to do for a living (Ooh look, an opportunity for a song plug!) and I told him about Sugar Slip and then that after that I'll probably end up being a manager or producer or something. Today's topic was Eminem. Yeah. Yeah, I know. I couldn't figure out if I wanted to laugh about what army jokes that would bring up (I'd just like to say one word. G-unit.), or...just...slap him with his tube of biofreeze.
Gosh darnit, this isn't a blog! Okay so down to business. Ashley DID get the project to Ray and Bob, so YAY! Ashley rocks, you know it, I know it...Some...other individuals know it...Ahem. And they really loved it and all that jazz it seemed. You can read her full account of her concert experience on the army boards, under live romance section. What else? Oh yes, today I will be updating the thanks page! Subject: WOAH.
I seem to be making a lot of these lately. Not posts, but...excuse posts. Lol, I know I know I KNOW you guys want your site already. I'm sowwy. -scuffs foot- I did a stupid thing and when Steve asked me if I could do TRL logs, I just said yes because I can't say no to the army. Gah. But I will be working on this site tonight and tomorrow, I totally pinky promise. I would have started work right after school but today I had to go to the chiropractor (OMIGOD. I'm wearing my devil boy tee, and this was the first time I've ever been and this dude I guess is really religious and stuff. I totally freaked the guy out, it was hilarious. Erm, I mean, sad. Yeah. Sad.) and then my sister's out of the hospital so I went to dinner with her and the family and she told me that I suck at Chemistry. And that was my day.
Wait, no, that's not my entire day. Coming home from the chiropractor, we saw this billboard that said DOOM on it and even mum started cracking up. Dude, it's totally cute because she gets the army inside jokes now.
I've rambled on enough. I know I wrote out bios a LONG time ago. I've just gotta find them. Grr.
OMIGOD I'm retarded. Lmao, BA got delivered. I think. I'm not sure, Ashley told Lelly and Kat and...some other people but hasn't given me any details yet so I'm staying on this computer and not budging until I get some info! -starved for details- As soon as I know something, you will know something. Yay.

EDIT: Ooh, just so yall know, we got a few of the pictures up, but like...barely any. I think Bob has four up and Ray has twelve or thirteen. It's because we need to make the thumbnails for the pictures and blah blah blah. But thanks to eeryone who submitted some pictures, especially of you with the boys! Yay! And mucho gracias to Taylor, who sufficiently flooded the BA photobucket. Ooh, I think I'll go organize that now...Yes. This is an excuse to put off those damned bios. Meh.

Subject: Guess what, guys, I--Wait. What was I gonna say?
Hey dudes! Starr here, about to go update the Thanks page and such. Just wanted to tell you all that the project is really doing well at the moment. We just got two packages mailed in, one from Taylor and another from Shey. Pictures of the project will be up asap. It's being delivered this Friday, October 21st, by Ashley. WOOt! I'm really excited for this, so I hope you are, too. Everyone's been working really hard on their stuff so please know that we appreciate it and I'm sure that Bob and Ray will appreciate it as well. The deadline for submitting things is TOMORROW, so we'll see if we get anymore entries. It's not the biggest project in the world, but it's the best. Er, wait, that came out wrong. Lol. No, the army does a lot of really good projects for the boys, I think. ^.^
So yeah. I'm just rambling now. The army did some Geico commercials for the boys. o.0 Wow, those ones got weird. We turned Gee into a cat. So yeah I suppose that was pretty fun. Lol that's where I've been. That and now we're working on diary entries (Yeah, we gave them all diaries, and we personalized them, like with how they look. It's pretty much the most amusing thing ever). And we're also doing movie trailers, which are SO FUCKING FUNNY. Someone wanted to give them to the boys but I'm not too sure. I mean, they're great. Really, REALLY great. I heart them sooo much. But, I mean, they just read like sixy Geico commercials. They'd be right to be a bit scared of their army atm. But hey, Ray or Bob if you're reading this and wanna read them (OMIGOD, especially Bex's. Bex wins at life for her NOT WITHOUT MY SPORK trailer), then, er...let us...know? Lol.
OMIGOD. That's what I was going to say. Dur. I basically came on here to say that I hope you like the new layout! We have two now! Subject: I said that you were my first, but you weren't even close now...
Actually...I'm lying about that whole subject thing, I was just listening to Senses Fail - Choke On This, and I thought it would be terribly clever to put that on there... Anywho, I just wanted to update everyone, that there will be a new layout poping up in a few days, along with an actual enter page, yes, I know...we're stepping it up.:} I'm not going to explain it now, because I am too damn lazy and I'm actually supposed to be doing homework because fall break has finally ended.;_;
This should solve many of people's complaints about the drop-down menu, and frames and such, also, it will enable people who are using a 800x600 resolution to actually view all of the site and not just the top menu-ish-...part-thing... Right then! For those of you curious souls who hate waiting for things and want to know stuff now, I shall give you a hint, it will be blue-ish.:}

Subject: Stay with it ^.^
Hey dudes, just wanted to tell you that between school and the MCRmy, things are really hectic. And I can't stop taking on jobs! I made it into the final seven for the MCRmy news crew, so everyone wish me luck on that! I will be updating today, last time I updated I basically did a news post, tweaked some pages, and added some new affiliates. I have to e-mail other sites to get our button on their sites, now that I've got their buttons on ours.
Still waiting to talk to Joycie about the pictures thing, which is really getting to me. We're also looking into a site that does not use frames for people who don't like this setup. The popup at the top of this page pisses me off, heh, but what can ya do?
Anyone who wants to submit something to our project can still e-mail at BlueAfro@hotmail.com. Submissions will be accepted until October 17th, so anyone who hasn't gotten those in, do so!
That's all for now. I know it's sort of hard to see any work being done on this site but it is being done, slowly but surely! Tee hee...if only I could get my MCR concert review out of the way, I'd be totally set...Meh. I leave you, because I can, with this site's first photo. Subject: Don't Let It Die!
Deleted the last news post. But, if you were curious as to what happened with it, the site was shut down and we will be monitoring the people who made the threats to make sure that they don't start up again. Thanks for everyone understanding the lack of updates and thanks to everyone who e-mailed to get the site deleted.
So new game plan, kids. It's 2:00 on Sunday and I haven't started on my homework. I failed two tests on Friday and am now failing math because I didn't turn in my homework packet because, well, I didn't. But you know what I DID do?
I DID skip school on Thursday to drive the 2 hours to San Diego at five-thirty in the morning. I DID give Frank his gift, I DID tell Ray about BlueAfro (so sad that I didn't get to meet Bob, though.), and I DID have the best night of my entire fucking life.
The FINAL date to have your stuff in for BA is October 17th. Ashley WILL be delivering it on October 21st, so if you've got any questions or want to confirm that we've got your entry, e-mail us at BlueAfro@hotmail.com.

Subject: Let's see what happens, shall we?
Woooo it's been a long while! So glad to be updating again. I'm actually going to try to work on the fansite portion of this site since it's...pretty much...not there. -cough- School's been a bitch but this is my last year, so yay for that! ...And then I get to deal with most of these people next year in the local college I'm going to. -sigh- Anyhow, enough of that. I might procrastinate a bit more on homework tonight in order to work on BA, which even with the suckiness of HTML is much preferrable to Chemistry homework.
Ashley's concert was tonight. She ran into a problem. Where she was staying didn't have a printer, but she was trying to find one. So we're not sure if she even got the project printed out, let alone be in a position where she would be able to give it to one of the boys (preferrably Bob or Ray themselves, but hey, whatever).
IF it doesn't work out, then everything will be shipped to me, we will continue accepting entries (yay!) and we'll try again on my date--September 29th at SOMA in San Diego.
If that doesn't work, then there are other options, but I'd rather not discuss those now as I hope that two concert dates should be enough to find someone to give this to them, or, as I said earlier, hopefully give it to them personally. Hey, I can do some wishful thinking, right?
PLEASE NOTE that just because this PROJECT is coming to a close does NOT mean that the FANSITE that the project shares a name with will close. We have other stuff to do as far as future contests, future projects, etc. But that's for another post... That's all for now. Thanks for reading and stay tuned, we should know tomorrow....

Subject: Just a little update.
Alrighty, just wanted to let you all know some stuffs. First, There is the new drop down menu, as you can see. I know it's not the greatest, javascript is not my specialty. Now, I'm going to ask you guys a huge favor and that is to view the site window at maximized, for my poor layouts sake. Otherwise navagation menu will resize and push everything down. Second, I tried to fix the popup problem by using a script I found that limits it to once a day. So if it's still poping up try adjusting your cookie settings, and if it's still doing it, email us and Starr will tell me. Thirdly, I know that banner isn't the most desirable (and it's anoying me to hell), they are being very tricky with it so I'm not sure how to fix it, I only can thing of one solution at the moment, but I gotta talk it over with Ash and Starr and see what they say. Sorry I took so long, oh, and I may want to make a layout for those people who don't want to view the site in frames, so be on the look out. Much love.

Subject: Handing out some sorries and promises...
Hey guys, just popping in here really quickly to say that we're very sorry that the site isn't taking off as quickly (not NEARLY as quickly) as we thought it would. Things like the VMAs among other issues really got in the way of that. We haven't got our new menu yet (we're working on a drop down menu instead) but right now we're going to make do with what we do have. Also, I've been told about, am well aware of, and very sorry that we have the problem with the popups. They're a bitch but this is a free site. However, we are working on something to solve that and if it makes problems too big, we'll switch to another host, so keep checking back for updates on that. Also, the project itself desperately needs your help to remain alive--we can't give them two letters and a couple of pictures; we really want to make this project as big as possible because they're not shown nearly enough love -emotear-. Uhmm what else? I'm not sure, but we're definitely working on this whole thing as quick as can be and please juststick with us, submit anything to BlueAfro@hotmail.com, and keep checking back for more updates. Hey dudes, and welcome to BlueAfro! My name is Starr and I’m one of the webmasters of this site. Along with my friends Ashley and Joycie, we decided that as many Frank, Mikey, and ESPECIALLY Gerard fansites there were out there, there wasn’t much love floating around for Bob and Ray. So, we’re fixing that starting now. Not only are we starting this website for them, but we’re also starting a project called—of all things—Project BlueAfro. Woah, smooth, right? Anyhow, we just wanted to say hey, welcome to the site, and we know things aren’t all completed and stuff yet, but that’s because we’re just starting out and also because this site is going to rely largely on submissions by fans.
